To use our WhatsApp channel, you need to:

  1. Add WhatsApp as a channel to your account

  2. Create a WhatsApp Business account and profile

  3. Register template messages (required for 1-way messages and business-initiated conversations outside the 24-hour interaction window)

  4. Utilize Clickatell's One API to send and receive messages directly via WhatsApp

Note that, although you can start using your API, you are limited to the following until your business is verified:

  • Adding 2 numbers to your account

  • Sending business-initiated templated messages to a maximum of 250 unique recipients per day

  • Unlimited user-initiated messages
