Keywords
You can add keywords and sub-keywords that will trigger certain actions if recognized in any incoming message.
Setting up keywords
Navigate to Receive SMS --> Manage Keywords

On this screen click either Add Main Keyword or Add Sub Keyword:
Main Keyword – the first word in a received SMS, e.g. 'CCM' in CCM TEST
Sub keyword – the word after the main keyword (the second word), e.g. 'TEST' in CCM TEST.



In addition to the above two types of keywords, CCM is set up with a default “UNMATCHED” keyword. All messages that do not have a valid keyword will be assigned to the “UNMATCHED” keyword. Just like any other keyword, actions (see below) can also be assigned to the “UNMATCHED” keyword.
Setting up keyword actions
After adding a new keyword or sub-keyword the screen will default to the Manage Keyword screen. Here actions can be assigned to the keyword. These actions will be performed when a message with the relevant keyword(s) is received .
For each keyword the below actions can be added.

Auto-response Text
SMS reply to the message that was received.

It is possible to assign more than one autoresponse to a keyword. This means that more than one SMS will be sent back for every incoming message. However, for security reasons some networks do not allow the sending of multiple messages from the same number in rapid succession. This means that only the first autoresponse will be delivered. If you would like to reply with multiple autoresponses, please ensure that this is supported by your chosen network(s).
Add to Phonebook
Add the number that the message was received from to a phonebook that was set up in the Phonebook screen.

Keyword Alias
Add an alternative (alias) for the keyword that will also be recognized as correct and trigger the actions assigned to that specific keyword, e.g.keyword "MOMMY" with an alias "MUMMY".

Forward as email
Forward the message as an email to a specified address.

Forward as SMS
Forward the message as an SMS to a specified number.

Send Data to URL
Pass the received message to a web based script located at the defined URL.

The following data will be passed to the URL:
from = [The number the SMS was sent from]
main = [The main keyword (ALWAYS UPPER CASE), "UNMATCHED" if no keyword was found]
sub = [The sub keyword (ALWAYS UPPER CASE), blank if no sub keyword was found]
text = [The message text (Excluding the keywords)]
Store in my Inbox
Flag the message so that it appears in the Inbox folder on CCM.

Unsubscribe from Bulk
Add the number the SMS was sent from to the Unsubscribed list.
