Add entries to phonebook

After a new phonebook has been created (see previous section in this user guide), click on the Manage Phonebook button to go to the Manage Phonebook screen.

From here you can manage your phonebooks' entries by adding, editing and deleting entries as needed.

To Edit or Delete an entry, simply select the respective icon to the right of the phonebook's details.To add entries to an existing phonebook, you can:

  • Upload entries from a spreadsheet

  • Add a single entry at a time

Uploading phonebook entries from a spreadsheet

This is used to upload a spreadsheet containing the entry numbers from your local hard drive into CCM.

Uploading works best if the file size is 2MB or less. If you want to upload bigger files it is suggested that you break the big file into several smaller files and upload each one of these separately.

Click on Upload a Spreadsheet. Click Choose File to select the file that you want to upload, and click Upload to start the upload process.

The data contained in the spreadsheet will be uploaded to CCM. You can add/edit/delete these entries as needed.

File Format

  • Column 1contains the phone numbers to send to (numbers must be in international format, e.g. 27831234567)

  • If custom columns are used, column B, C, D, etc contains the custom column data

  • The file must be saved in Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet (.xlxs file extension), tab delimited text format (.txt file extension) or comma delimited format (.csv file extension) before it can be uploaded

Add a single entry

This is used to add a single entry to the phonebook.

Click on Add a Single Entry. Enter the recipient phone number and click Save.

The number you entered will be added to the phonebook. You can add/edit/delete this entry as needed by clicking the relevant button on the phonebook details screen.
