In order for us to better assist you, our clients, we've added a mandatory contact number field to the WhatsApp account application form. This contact number is stored and validated using our existing phone validation library. This provides the ability for Clickatell's Sales and Support teams to contact you in case you need assistance or more information.
Customer Notifications
Previously, it was difficult for our clients to keep track of their monthly WhatsApp bundle usage. This resulted in their services being paused or overage rates being charged without due warning.
With this release, we've implemented several mechanisms to keep clients informed of their usage and warn them when they are nearing or exceeding their monthly WhatsApp bundle, alerting them to take action to keep their services going.
In the Clickatell Portal, when a client navigates to their WhatsApp subscription bundle's details, they are presented with an indication of how much of the bundle has been consumed. A notification is also shown when they log into the portal under the following conditions:
The alert is first displayed when there are less than 10 days left until the subscription renewal date and/or when the bundle reaches 80% usage (yellow alert)
When there are less than 5 days left until the subscription renewal date and/or the usage reaches 90% of the monthly bundle, an orange alert is shown
A red alert is shown when the subscription renewal date is less than 2 days away and/or the usage reaches 100%,
In addition, emails are also triggered in each of the scenarios above.
